Accountability Culture

“Cancel Culture” is a phrase devised to incite grievance and resentment in order to manipulate and control people and get them their money and votes and obedience.

In this case “culture wars” similarly was a phrase devised to cause people to feel their culture specifically white male and Christian culture was under threat from things like providing more human rights like marriage equality for LGBTQ people and more diversity in the workplace for people of color and women, especially at management levels.

The results were seen egregiously in Charlotte as large crowds of mostly white Christian men with tiki torches rallied around a symbol of white Christian power dominance over black people the statue of Robert E. Lee angrily chanting “Jews will not replace us!” They believe Jews are trying to replace white men with black and brown people. This also was seen as Heather Heyer was run down and murdered by one of the protesters.

They are being told that they, white Christian males are targeted for replacement ie cancellation from the American culture they were conditioned to believe was their birthright.

So the phrase has specific designs to incite angry white men because that is the political base of the current GOP and has been for at least 40 years since Ronald Reagan’s “Southern Strategy”. https://youtu.be/X_8E3ENrKrQ
