Abolish All Jobs

I believe we need to eliminate jobs altogether. Instead of jobs, every worker should receive equity where they work in the form an ownership dividend payment each month. What’s the difference between that and a paycheck?

Workers would be entry level partners and everyone would have a vote and voice in various aspects of the company’s operations including who is chosen to manage departments and work with them.

Workers in a department could meet as a department to interview prospective co-workers to join their department or to remedy poor performance including if necessary remove a worker.

This Worker Directed Enterprise business model puts the stability of the workforce and longevity of the company on par with growth and profits. Workers who are engaged in this way as partner workers and who had the job security that entailed would never vote to close a company down to ship it to some cheaper labor country to make shareholders more money, nor would they dumb trash or chemicals in their local communities to save a buck at the expense of their community because they live their themselves.

This type of new economic model for business formation helps people feel valued and respected as opposed to how many workers feel today which is disposable. That’s what we are today, we are disposable.
